Trying out Diigo

[Featured Image:]
What’s diigo? Well, according to my good friend Google, it’s a website or extension used for capturing, archiving, bookmarking and highlighting on the web.

So let’s try it out, shall we?

I’ll be doing as instructed by the professor and looking up articles on these 4 topics:

Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, The Internet of Things and lastly, the Dark Web…

Here’s what I found, very intriguing I must say…(all links can be found in my diigo account, which I’ve attached at the bottom)

  • On Artificial Intelligence I found an article by the name of “How Frightened Should We Be of A. I?“. For now it seems mostly theoretical, who knows what awaits us in the future? It’s quite extensive but lucky for us, somebody can read it for us, there is an audio you can listen to as you read it.  It may teach you a thing or two.

  • Moving on to Augmented Reality,  “Augmented Reality – The Past, The Present and The Future” okay so it turns out I wasn’t that well informed as to what augmented reality meant, but hey we learn something new everyday. This article is much shorter than the one before, but just as educational. It talks about the history of augmented reality, the now and where it might go.

  •  The Internet of Things,“What is the IoT? Everything you need to know about the Internet of Things right now”. Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen, because believe it or not, everything is connected and realizing that can be quite mind-blowing. The internet is more than just websites, we should wake up and smell the coffee. This one features a lil video.

  • This is where it gets dark, literally but not really. The Dark Web, “What is the dark web? From drugs and guns to the Chloe Ayling kidnapping, a look inside the encrypted network” Don’t worry this one is a safe link, it’s just an article on the history of the dark web, the origin will surprise you…that sounds like clickbait but I was surprised about the origin, maybe you will be too? I don’t know.
